Meetings

The Executive Council and the Activities Planing Committee usually meets the first Friday of the month. Meetings begin at 9:30 AM, at "The Cottage," Ammerman Campus, Selden. Please check the meeting times, dates, and location because on rare occasion these change.


All members are encouraged to attend and/or submit suggestions for RASCC activities or to bring to our attention information that is pertinent to RASCC members. Come join us for coffee, goodies while renewing friendships.

October 4, 2019, Executive Council and Activities Planning committee meetings.


October 19, 2019, RASCC members will visit the Bayard Cutting Arboretum. The grounds are beautifully decorated for this time of year and offer a variety of things to do; some free and some with a fee. Bayard Cutting Arboretum is located at  440 Montauk Highway, Great River, NY 11739
Here’s a list of all the events that day for you to choose from:
~ Free tours of the grounds that start at 11:30 AM.
~Tours of the Manor House are at 1:00 PM and are priced at $12.00 per person.
~ Attic tours, $10.00 per person, are given at 2:30 PM only in the spring and fall, depending on weather.
~The grounds are free to walk anytime.
Parking Fees:
$8 per vehicle.
Senior (62+) can obtained a parking pass at any of the parking kiosks! Just scan your license at the pay station. The parking pass is valid for use Tuesday through Friday.
There is the Hidden Oak Café open from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
RASCC members and their friends will meet at 11:00 AM at the Manor House.  For those who are interested in the tour of the grounds we have to be together by 11:00 AM for the 11:30 AM tour. After touring the gardens, those who want to explore the Manor House or Attic can get together.  Anyone not going on these other tours can spend time in the café catching up or walking the grounds.
There is a Victorian Tea that includes finger sandwiches, scones, desserts and fresh pots of tea at $28.94 + tax + 20% gratuity. You would have to contact Bayard Cutting Arboretum at least 24 hours ahead to make a reservation, so call 631 277-3895 by Friday the latest.
If you will be going to the arboretum on October 19, please email Maureen Clinton  and tell her the number in your party.

December 2019, No meeting. Holiday Party, December 11, Butera's, Sayville, noon. Reservation forms coming.
